Tatara Fujita, a reserved middle school student with no clear future plans, has navigated life by avoiding conflicts and blending into the background. However, his strategy fails when bullies target him for money. Fortunately, a man named Kaname Sengoku intervenes, rescuing Tatara from the harassment.
Kaname extends an invitation to Tatara to join his dance studio. Despite initial hesitation toward such an unfamiliar environment, Tatara is intrigued by Sengoku's authoritative presence. Given the chance to dance with his classmate Shizuku Hanaoka, who frequently practices at the studio, Tatara discovers an unexpected allure to being in the spotlight and performing where others can see him. Fueled by a sincere and passionate desire to improve, Tatara embarks on a journey into the competitive world of dance.
