After a decade away from home, Nagomu Irino, having abandoned his failed dream, decides to return upon learning of his father’s hospitalization. Concerned about the future of the family’s Kyoto sweets shop, Ryokushou, Nagomu resolves to embrace his familial heritage and the art of confectionery.

To his surprise, Nagomu finds that his father has already chosen a successor: a 10-year-old girl named Itsuka Yukihira, abandoned at Ryokushou by her father under mysterious circumstances. Though integrated into the family and serving as the shop’s mascot, Itsuka harbors a deep longing to reunite with her absent father, diligently pursuing any lead that might bring them together. Sympathizing with Itsuka’s plight, Nagomu’s mother urges him to step into the role of Itsuka’s surrogate father, hoping he can ease her pain, if only slightly.

Initially at odds, Itsuka and Nagomu gradually bond, discovering unexpected similarities between them. United by their shared affection for Ryokushou and its delectable treats, their evolving relationship as guardian and ward brings a touch of sweetness to the lives they touch.

Seishuu Handa is a rising star in the world of calligraphy—young, attractive, and undeniably gifted, though also overly proud of his talent. When a respected veteran critic dismisses his prize-winning work as lacking originality, Seishuu reacts impulsively, leading to serious consequences.

From a very young age, Komichi Akebi has been enamored with sailor uniforms, to the point that she promised herself one would be made by her mother if she managed to enroll in her mother’s former school, Roubai Academy. When she is accepted into the prestigious academy, Komichi is overjoyed. However, she soon discovers that the middle school has abandoned sailor uniforms as part of its dress code, causing her to stand out among her peers. Even so, she is given special permission to continue wearing the traditional outfit.

With newfound confidence, Komichi begins her school life, meeting a variety of intriguing classmates and sharing everyday experiences with them. Surrounded by bright possibilities and fresh beginnings, an exciting future unfolds before them all.
