Every time Yoi Takiguchi lets out even the slightest sigh, her female classmates can’t help but gush over her. With her charming, boyish looks and easygoing personality, she’s earned the nickname of the school’s “prince.” Despite the constant attention, Yoi chooses to ignore it and live her life as usual—until another “prince” at school, Kohaku Ichimura, suddenly appears and calls her beautiful.

Unlike what his title suggests, Kohaku is carefree and unpredictable, doing whatever he wants without much thought. Still, his words leave Yoi flustered, and the way he looks at her makes her heart race. He’s the first boy to truly see her as a girl, and no matter how much she tries to keep her distance, she finds herself unable to avoid him. Even if she tells herself it’s nothing serious, the feelings growing inside her are impossible to ignore.

The idol group F/ACE has quickly gained fame, largely due to its charismatic and gifted leader, Tamon Fukuhara. Seventeen-year-old Utage Kinoshita is an avid fan who deeply idolizes the group, especially Tamon. Devoted to supporting him, she works part-time at a cleaning service to earn money and continue cheering him on.

When a coworker falls ill, Utage is sent to clean the home of a new client who happens to share Tamon’s name. She assumes it is nothing more than a coincidence—until she discovers that her client is the idol himself. Her shock intensifies when she learns that, behind his energetic public image, Tamon is actually a withdrawn young man lacking friends and self-confidence.

Unable to contain her admiration, Utage promises to protect his secret and support him no matter what. However, managing Tamon’s drastic contrast between his onstage persona and his private self proves to be far more challenging than she ever expected.

Seated beside the lively and fashionable Miyu Suzuki is Yuusuke Tani, a reserved and straightforward classmate. Their conversations are short and simple, usually sparked by Suzuki’s spontaneous questions and answered with Tani’s brief replies. Still, within these small moments, gentle feelings of romance begin to take root.

Suzuki appreciates Tani for his honest nature and the way he treats everyone equally, showing no concern for popularity or appearances. In contrast, she is overly conscious of others’ opinions and struggles to hide her growing affection for him. A minor misunderstanding eventually pushes Suzuki to confess her feelings, only to discover—much to her happiness—that Tani feels the same way.

Nervous yet thrilled, the two begin dating, setting off on a heartfelt journey filled with friendship, sincerity, and young love.

Every morning, first-year student Taiki Inomata rushes to his high school gym to sharpen his badminton skills. However, his real motivation lies in sharing the otherwise empty gym with second-year Chinatsu Kano, his crush and the star of the girls’ basketball team. Though she seems distant, Taiki gradually finds chances to get closer to her.

Unaware of Taiki’s admiration, Chinatsu draws inspiration from his dedication, pushing herself to pursue her own goals. When her family unexpectedly moves overseas for work, she chooses to stay in Japan and strive for victory at the national level. With nowhere to live, she is welcomed into Taiki’s home, as their mothers are longtime friends. Overwhelmed by the sudden reality of living with the girl he loves, Taiki sets his sights on reaching the nationals in his own sport—hoping to grow closer to Chinatsu along the way.

Despite catching his coach’s attention, Taiki faces a tough challenge to secure a spot on the starting team. Encouraged by both Chinatsu and his childhood friend, gymnast Hina Chouno, he pushes himself to prove his worth among his formidable upperclassmen.

In a distant era, humanity teeters on the brink of annihilation due to colossal creatures known as Klaxosaurs, compelling the surviving populace to seek sanctuary within colossal fortress cities named Plantations. Here, youngsters are groomed to command immense mechas dubbed FranXX, the only known countermeasure against the Klaxosaurs, operating in male-female pairs. Bred solely for this purpose, these youths are ignorant of the world beyond their confines, finding purpose solely in defending their species.

Hiro, harboring aspirations of becoming a FranXX pilot, finds himself disillusioned and lacking in self-assurance following an unsuccessful aptitude assessment. Shunning his class’ graduation ceremony, Hiro withdraws to a serene forest lake, where he encounters an enigmatic girl sporting two horns protruding from her head. Identifying herself by the moniker Zero Two, associated with a notorious FranXX pilot dubbed the “Partner Killer,” she crosses paths with Hiro. Before Hiro can process this peculiar encounter, the tranquility is shattered by a sudden Klaxosaur assault on the Plantation. Zero Two leaps into action with her FranXX, but the skirmish leaves her mecha heavily damaged, crashing near Hiro’s location. Discovering her partner lifeless, Zero Two implores Hiro to join her in piloting the mecha, and together they effortlessly vanquish the Klaxosaur in the ensuing battle. With a newfound ally at his side, Hiro finds himself presented with an opportunity for redemption from his past setbacks, yet the path ahead is fraught with uncertainties and potential sacrifices.

In the world of Hikari Tsutsui, simplicity is found in the two-dimensional realm. Socially awkward and isolated, he finds solace in video games and anime, only to face relentless ridicule and isolation from his peers. His only companion in misery is Yuuto Itou, who shares his love for gaming and wears cat ears.

During a punishment of cleaning the pool for being late, Tsutsui encounters Iroha Igarashi but tries to avoid her due to her reputation. Known for her boldness, disliked by female classmates, and notorious for her relationships with boys, Tsutsui fears that getting involved with her would only bring trouble.

In their teenage years, few things can hurt people more than the heartaches that come with unrequited love. Such is the case for Natsuo Fujii, who has found himself entranced by his school’s ever-cheerful teacher Hina. Deflated by this unreachable desire, Natsuo humors his friends and attends a mixer. There he meets Rui, a girl whose lack of excitement rivals that of himself. After bonding over their mutual awkwardness, Rui takes Natsuo to her house and asks him to have sex with her, hoping that the experience will stop her friends from treating her like a clueless child. With his hopeless feelings towards Hina still on his mind, Natsuo hesitantly agrees.

Equally unfulfilled by their “first times,” the two decide to part ways as strangers. However, before he even has a chance to process this experience, Natsuo’s father drops a major bombshell: he is getting remarried, and his new wife Tsukiko Tachibana is coming over now to meet Natsuo. As if that was not enough of a shock, her daughters—and, in turn, Natsuo’s new sisters—are Hina and Rui Tachibana, the woman he’s in love with and the girl with whom he shared his first night. Now, Natsuo must come to terms with the feelings he has for his step-siblings as his eyes open to a darker side of love.

Starting his first year of high school, Raidou has a simple goal: to make friends—beginning with the petite, quiet, and soft-spoken Reina Aharen, who happens to sit right beside him in class. Unknown to Raidou, Reina feels the same way, but she struggles with a major obstacle. Shy and socially awkward, she has no sense of how close or distant she should be when interacting with others.

Because Reina cannot properly judge personal space, even the most basic interactions between the two become surprisingly difficult, making it hard for their unusual friendship to take root. Still, despite the many trivial yet frustrating challenges they face, the overly imaginative Raidou is determined to do everything he can to befriend the enigmatic Reina.
