In a future where children are rare and seen as Japan’s most precious treasure, Christmas has faded into nothing more than an old legend. At Daikoku Welfare Academy—a boarding school where students are raised, safeguarded, and closely observed—Santa Claus exists only as a long-forgotten figure of fantasy. For adults, however, Santa Claus is a genuine threat, one that must be dealt with by the Saint Nick Pursuit Unit should he ever reappear.

Shiori Fuyumura, a student at Daikoku Welfare Academy, is resolute in her search for her closest friend, Ichie Ono, who was presumed dead after being missing for half a year. One morning, Fuyumura calls in her fellow class representative, Kazushige Sanda, only to launch an unexpected attack on him. She firmly believes that Sanda is a descendant of the notorious Santa Claus—the sole individual capable of granting her wish to find Ono—and she is prepared to do whatever it takes to awaken his hidden true self.
