Set in a near-future Japan struggling with an extremely low birth rate, children are treated as precious national assets and raised under strict protection in boarding schools. In this society, Santa Claus—once a symbol of joy and hope—is now labeled a dangerous figure and hunted down.

On a snowy December 25th, middle schooler Sanda Kazushige suddenly finds his life in danger when his classmate Shiori Fuyumura confronts him. After discovering that Sanda is a descendant of Santa Claus, she believes he can grant her a wish: “Santa, please find my friend.”

Her request is to locate her missing best friend, Ichie Ono. Determined to protect the children and honor this plea, Sanda resolves to take on the mantle of Santa Claus and stand against the adults.
