Yuusuke Yotsuya harbors a longstanding aversion to Tokyo, with a particular disdain for its inhabitants. His preference lies in immersing himself in a virtual realm rather than engaging with those in his surroundings. After observing a conversation between the popular athlete Iu Shindou and Kusue Hakozaki, who attends school sporadically due to illness, Yotsuya witnesses their sudden disappearance upon a second glance.

In a matter of moments, Yotsuya experiences a surreal free fall, witnessing a transformative shift in the world around him. Plunging into a vast body of water, he awakens to a realm teeming with colossal monsters. It becomes apparent that Shindou and Hakozaki have transported him into a game world, assigning him a quest to complete within a tight 14-day deadline.

Distinguishing this world from reality is a crucial aspect: in the event of death, individuals resurrect within 30 seconds, granted that at least one party member survives. Confronted with a series of escalating quests, Yotsuya, along with Shindou and Hakozaki, endeavors to unravel the enigma shrouding this perplexing game world.

Where to start I’m Standing on a Million Lives manga after anime?

Where Does the Anime End? Where Should I Start Reading?

The anime ended at episode 19 (07 of Season 2), which corresponds to Chapter 24 (p. 33-35) and 25 of the manga. The adaptation covers up to this point.

(*) NOTE: In episode 7 of the anime you are given the choice between 2 missions:

  • A) Reduce the addiction to the Rainbow Ladder in the Kingdom of Goldia to less than 3% in 90 days
  • B) Prevent the destruction of Zagroth village in 30 days.

The choice is made by Keita Torii who chooses option B because it is easier to understand and takes less time.
However, in the manga they are only assigned the mission to ‘Reduce the addiction to the Rainbow Stair in the kingdom of Goldia to less than 3% in 90 days‘, which is the mission they did not choose in the anime.

After watching the anime, to continue the story in the manga, start reading from Chapter 26, which corresponds to Volume 12 (collecting chapters 25 to 29).
