Asta and Yuno were left at the same church on the very same day. Growing up together, they learned about the Wizard King—the title granted to the most powerful mage in the kingdom—and vowed to rival one another for the chance to become the next Wizard King. As time passed, however, the contrast between them became clear. Yuno possessed extraordinary magical talent and control, while Asta, unable to use magic at all, pushed himself through intense physical training in hopes of compensating for his lack of power.
When they turn fifteen, Yuno is chosen by an impressive four-leaf clover Grimoire, whereas Asta is left empty-handed. Soon after, Yuno is attacked by a man named Lebuty, who seeks to steal his Grimoire. Asta rushes to defend him but is completely overpowered. On the verge of despair and defeat, he finds renewed resolve upon hearing Yuno’s voice. In a surge of raw emotion and determination, Asta awakens a five-leaf clover Grimoire—the Black Clover—granting him the power needed to defeat Lebuty. Not long after, the two friends set out on their journey, united by a single dream: to become the Wizard King.

How to Watch Black Clover in Order with Movies?
Black Clover has 1 movie, 1 ova and 1 special, which do not have continuity in the canonical story, but its chronological order can be known, this through the characters that appear, the abilities and growth. Therefore, the order to watch the black clover movies and ovas is as follows:
- Black Clover: The first thing we have to see is the first part of the anime that has 170 episodes, it adapts from chapter 1 to 270 of the manga. This anime also has 1 movie, 1 ova and 1 special, but they are not canon, but if you want to see them, this is their chronological order within the anime:
- Black Clover: Jump Festa 2016 OVA: This ova does not bring anything new, since it was adapted in episode 1 of the anime, they also tell us a little about the battle of Asta and Yuno vs. Mars that occurs in episode 17. It was released at Jump Festa 2016, so it was broadcast before the anime, the reason for its existence was to give us a taste of what the anime was going to be..
- Black Clover: Jump Festa 2018 Special: We watch it after episode 65, it contains the Squishy! Black Clover and it premiered at Jump Special Anime Festa 2018. The continuity error is
that Fuegoleon has his 2 arms intact, something wrong since in episode 25 he loses one of these . - Movie 1: Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King: We watch it after episode 149, the original title of the movie was “Black Clover: Mahou Tei no Ken”, its chronology is a personal choice, since it would be located between episodes 130 to 154, which would be after Elf Reincarnation Arc, but before Heart Kingdom Joint Struggle Arc.
