Kagome Higurashi’s 15th birthday takes an unexpected twist when a demon drags her into the ancient well at her family’s shrine. Transported to feudal Japan, a time when demons roamed freely, she becomes the target of many who seek the Shikon Jewel — a powerful, mystical orb she unknowingly possesses.
In this dangerous new world, Kagome meets Inuyasha, a half-demon who initially confuses her with Kikyo, a shrine maiden he harbors resentment toward. Their rocky encounter soon turns into an uneasy alliance as they face a shared threat.
However, in a fierce battle over the Shikon Jewel, the sacred artifact shatters into countless fragments scattered across the land. To prevent its immense power from being misused, Kagome and Inuyasha embark on a perilous journey to recover every shard.
