Ever since witnessing the extraordinary skills of the “Little Giant” on the volleyball court, Shouyou Hinata has been captivated by the dynamic nature of the sport. Despite facing a setback in his attempt to debut as a volleyball regular during a middle school tournament, he is determined to prove that his modest height is not a hindrance in the face of his unwavering will and perseverance.

Upon enrolling in Karasuno High School, the alma mater of the Little Giant, Hinata believes he is a step closer to realizing his dream of becoming a professional volleyball player. Despite the school’s faded glory, Hinata’s determination remains unshaken until he discovers that Tobio Kageyama—the prodigy who had humiliated Hinata’s middle school volleyball team in a crushing defeat—is now his teammate.

In order to make his mark in the realm of volleyball, often perceived as the domain of the tall and strong, Hinata must reconcile differences with Kageyama. It is only when he understands the essence of being part of a team that he can earnestly embark on the journey to the top.
