Unlike most schools, Hyakkaou Private Academy exists to prepare its students for the ruthless realities of the real world. Attended by the children of the global elite, the academy operates by its own unique rules. During the day, it appears to be an ordinary school, offering standard lessons in history, languages, and other subjects. But once night falls, Hyakkaou transforms into a high-stakes gambling arena, where students are taught how to wield money, read people, and manipulate outcomes. In this world, money is power, and those who dominate the games rise to the top of the school’s hierarchy.

Into this twisted system steps Yumeko Jabami, a seemingly innocent and beautiful transfer student eager to experience Hyakkaou’s unconventional curriculum. Unlike her peers, Yumeko has no interest in status or victory. She gambles purely for the exhilaration of risk itself, and her dangerously unhinged approach to betting threatens to overturn the academy’s carefully constructed balance.
