After silently admiring Yuzuriha Ogawa for five years, high schooler Taiju Ooki finally gathers the courage to confess his feelings. However, just as he begins, a mysterious green light envelops the Earth, petrifying all of humanity and turning every human into stone.

Thousands of years later, Taiju awakens to a completely transformed world where nature has reclaimed its dominance. Amidst the countless stone statues, Taiju discovers that his science-driven friend, Senkuu, has also awakened and has already been working on a bold plan: to rebuild civilization using the power of science. Combining Taiju’s strength with Senkuu’s intellect, the duo begins uncovering a way to revive the petrified population.

Their mission, however, faces challenges as newly awakened individuals clash with Senkuu’s vision for the future. Meanwhile, the cause behind humanity’s mysterious petrification remains a mystery, looming over their efforts to revive the world.
