The Military Academy of the Barsburg Empire is renowned for producing elite warriors who secure victory for the nation. Its students wield a power known as “Zaiphon,” an ability used in combat whose form varies depending on the individual soldier’s nature.
Among the academy’s most talented cadets is Teito Klein. Despite his potential, he is mocked for being a sklave—a slave with no memory of his past. His only true companion is a fellow student named Mikage. As they prepare for their final examination, Teito begins to uncover a disturbing truth tied to his forgotten history. After a failed attempt to assassinate Ayanami, a powerful official responsible for his father’s death, Teito is imprisoned to await his punishment.
Driven by concern for his friend, Mikage aids Teito in escaping. Fleeing the military, Teito finds refuge at the Church of the Seventh District, where he is taken in by its bishops. There, he struggles to stay beyond Ayanami’s reach while seeking to recover his lost memories and uncover the reason he holds the power to alter the fate of the world.
