Tatara Fujita is a timid middle school student with no clear vision for his future. He has spent his life avoiding conflict and keeping a low profile, hoping to pass by unnoticed. However, staying invisible does not spare him from trouble, as he becomes the target of bullies demanding money. Just when things seem hopeless, he is rescued by a man named Kaname Sengoku.

Intrigued, Kaname invites Tatara to his dance studio. Though it is a place he would normally never dare to enter, Tatara is drawn in by Sengoku’s overwhelming presence. Given the chance to dance alongside his classmate Shizuku Hanaoka, who regularly trains at the studio, Tatara discovers an unexpected thrill in standing under the spotlight and expressing himself through dance. Captivated by this new world and driven by a sincere desire to grow, Tatara takes his first steps into the demanding realm of competitive dance.
