As his time in school comes to a close, Yuuki Wakura grows increasingly anxious about what lies ahead. While brooding over the idea of leading an unremarkable life, he is suddenly pulled into Mato—a parallel world inhabited by deadly creatures known as Shuuki. Ever since Mato’s existence became public knowledge, people accidentally crossing into this dangerous realm has become alarmingly common. In response, the all-female Demon Defense Force was formed to battle the Shuuki and rescue those who become trapped. Its members gain extraordinary powers from Peaches, special Mato fruits that grant abilities exclusively to women.

Just as Yuuki’s situation turns dire, he is rescued by Kyouka Uzen, the commander of the Demon Defense Force’s Seventh Unit. Though Kyouka is an exceptional fighter, her progress has long been hindered by her Peach ability, Slave. This power allows her to dominate a living being and draw out its strength, but the Shuuki she previously controlled were far too weak to be of real use.

When Yuuki and Kyouka are cornered by a swarm of Shuuki, she makes a desperate decision and uses Slave on a human for the first time. To her astonishment, Yuuki’s transformed state proves vastly more powerful than anything she had imagined. Convinced that he may be the key to unleashing her true potential, Kyouka offers Yuuki a place within the Demon Defense Force—though not as an ordinary member.
