In a distant future, those who cherish the traditions of the past have settled in Kowloon Walled City—a densely populated slum that preserves the spirit of old Hong Kong. Among them is Reiko Kujirai, a real estate agent with a thirst for novelty and modern experiences. Her colleague, Hajime Kudou, feels quite the opposite—he's deeply attached to the nostalgic atmosphere of the city and avoids anything that feels too contemporary. Although their perspectives often clash and lead to frequent arguments over trivial matters, they unexpectedly grow fond of each other's company.
However, when a harmless prank takes an unexpected turn, Hajime impulsively makes a move on Reiko—only to quickly apologize. Confused by his behavior, Reiko begins to search for answers, uncovering a forgotten past that she can’t seem to recall.

Where Does the Anime End? | Where Should I Start Reading? |
---|---|
The anime ended at episode 13 of Season 1, which corresponds to Chapter 79 of the manga. The adaptation covers up to this point. |
After watching the anime, to continue the story in the manga, start reading from Chapter 83, which corresponds to Volume 10 (collecting chapters 80 to 87). (*) The anime has an original ending, as the manga is still ongoing. From episode 12 onward, the story starts to diverge from the manga. For this reason, I recommend starting the manga from chapter 83. However, if you prefer a more precise transition, you can begin at chapter 77, which corresponds to episode 11 of the anime, where the changes start to appear. |
